You Had Better Divorce 82 Of Your 86 Wives!

Sometimes, here in America, with our conventional marriage of one man to one woman…we forget just how easy we have it. If things go south, generally, you have only one person to deal with.

Well, let’s for a moment consider an eighty-four-year-old, Nigerian religious leader—Mohammadu Bello Abubakar—who was recently ordered, by Islamic decree, to divorce 82 of his 86 wives.

I have not contravened any established law that would warrant my being banished from the land… There is no law that says one must not marry more than four wives.

You know…every once in a while I’m at a loss for words. This would be one of those times!
